    The purpose of this position is to provide excellent personal outpatient therapy by a fully licensed therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT or psychologist) to meet the clinically significant behavioral or psychological symptoms or patterns that have been identified as treatment needs of the client. Services are provided during scheduled sessions within an office setting. It can be provided to individuals and families. It can include psychotherapy, other specialized therapies, and collateral work.

    Requirements

    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Must have a Master’s degree or higher
    • Must have a valid non-restricted NC License to practice therapy
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as suitable computer skills (web based programs, Microsoft Word and Excel)
    • Must have Medicaid Number and NPI number
    • Must be able to pass a thorough personal background check and professional licensure background check
    • Must be able to maintain a favorable driving status

    The following credentials apply when seeking employment with HOPE as a therapist and must be provided:

    • For Licensed Professional Counselors, proof of current License to practice from the NC Board of Licensed Professional Counselors
    • For Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, proof of current license to practice from the NC Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board
    • For Licensed Psychologists, proof of current license to practice from the NC Psychology Board
    • For Licensed Clinical Social Workers, proof of graduation with a Masters Degree in Social Work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and proof of current certification of licensure from the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board

    General Responsiblities

    • Complete assessments, diagnosis, recommend treatment, treatment plans, discharge planning and apply appropriate therapeutic modalities.
    • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
    • Demonstrate ability to assess treatment recipient’s risk of harm to self, others, and/or the community.
    • Able to demonstrate skills in mediation, facilitation, advocacy and resolving systemic concerns.
    • Present one self in a professional manner.
    • Demonstrate ability to prioritize, use time management skills as well as organizational skills in order to practice independently within a team.
    • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with positive productive interaction with other professionals and staff members.
    • Demonstrate ability to work with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds.
